I think the popularity of the business is what makes a good logo GREAT. I think their simple, smart, and clever. Yes they do because like the CBS logo has been around for quite sometime. I see the color that they use, the amount of color, and some other stuff. When I look at logos, I see how well they put it together, what kind of things are on there, and what company made the logo.

ReplyDeleteI think that when a person looks for a business that they need their help for is when they notice the logo. Logos are everywhere and are not noticed until you accidentally glance at them or when you need something from a business. Everyone has a different view on logos and they affect them in different ways. When I look at a logo I can definetly tell that color and what the object is has a great influence on who it acts upon. A logo that is bright and cool is probably designated for the targeted audience of the youth. Older logos such as a greyed wrench or so targets older people. Coco Cola has a great logo. It emphasizes the target with its bright colors and its unique font selection. A great logo design is easy to distinguish and also very easy to identify... it has nothing to make it seem complex.
Making a logo design great is what is key to marketing your product. To make a logo great, it needs to be outstanding. It needs to be something different then anyone's ever seen. Some logos are simple, it all depends on what you are marketing. Also depending on what you are marketing, is how it reflects age groups and cultures. Certains stores advertise bright and catchy logos to teens or people they think would be interesting. Being bright, or completly different then what i've seen before makes it catchy to me. In logos i see around me daily, i see creative phrases and neat graphics with random colors but they all fit. In the nike logo, i see something simple.. but everyone knows what it is. When i look at logos, it needs to be something i think is cool. I want to see that logo and say, "Wow, that's awesome! I wonder how they did that.." That's what i want to see in more logos.
ReplyDeleteLogos have always been somewhat of a scheme for businesses; they pay people to generate something flashy, peoples' attention is caught by it, and it coherces a sale. None-the-less logos are often an expressive piece of art that can be used to portray a desired image, such as a band logo. Either way I'm not saying logos are bad, but they are commonly associated with making money, and there's nothing wrong with making a few honest bucks.
ReplyDeleteI think what makes a logo great is its colors and its simplicity. Logos are simple but they can easily attract attention without needing too much details. Certain logos reflects age groups. Logos with vivid colors, graffitti type font, bubbly font, or simple characters are usually targeting teens and younger kids. Logos that are more simple with just one or two calm colors and a sophisicated-looking font are more towards for adults. These are just some characteristics that I have noticed from certain logos. When I see logos, I pay attention to the font, colors, the design, and creativity. I look at it as though it was a tiny piece of artwork not as something for business.
ReplyDeletea logo is something that a company makes to catch someone's attention and in the end make a sale. so for a logo to be great it has to do just that, catch someone's attention. i think that the best logos are the simplest ones. something you can look at and recoginise the company without having to put too much thought into it. when you see a popular logo enough it will trigger instant thought into your head about that product. if you see the coke logo you will think of soda and if you see the apple logo you will think of computers. so all in all logos are pieces of art that are meant to trigger a thought that may or may not make you want to buy something.
ReplyDelete1. colors, design, size and shape make a logo great.
ReplyDelete2.yes, logos are simple. (if you think they're simple)
3.yes, they do reflect age groups and cultures.
4.yes, they're identifiers. (ex: an E with a yellow ring = internet explorer.)
5.In the logos, I see their colors and what their intended to symbolize for.
6.When I look at logos, I see the art, business and the colors of the logo.
A great logo is simple and easy to recognize. If it is simple and wothout too many details it is easier to remember&recognize the logo. Logos can reflect to a spesific group of people (age, gender, culture, religion) if it has any symbols in it that would releate to persons from that specific group.
ReplyDeleteI think the whole point with a logo is to make it easy for your buyers to recignize it. Everyone has their favortie 'items': some prefer pepsi instead of coke, and some prefer PC instead of Mac.
With Centrals logo on your jacket or shirt you are saying to the people around you you want to be recignized as a central student. A logo is a piece of art that catches the eye instead of just words written in black ink on paper.
